Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Anna Norris and I am currently a first year student attending Agnes Scott College. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, specifically at a military base in the middle of the city. That being said, as a result of my dad being in the army, my family has moved around the country every few years for the entirety of my life. The places I have lived in include South Korea, Washington, Kansas, California, Florida, Virginia, Hawaii, and Georgia, and I have attended a total of nine primary and secondary schools.

I am currently majoring in biology in hopes of being admitted into a medical or optometry school, as my career goal is to become an optometrist. Tenth grade was the start of my desire to become an optometrist in the future because my own eyesight is very poor, and I want to know what causes it and how our eyes are prescribed. I also want to help diagnose people, as symptoms of certain diseases can be found through eye exams. Outside of academics, my two main hobbies are writing fictional stories and playing the piano. I have played piano since I was five years old, at first through lessons, but now I play it however I like, and that freedom has made me come to love the instrument. Writing, however, is my passion that started when I was twelve. When I write, I not only want to break the hearts of my readers through my melancholic storytelling – in the end, I want to send a message about us and our society. Thank you for visiting!
